Jeni Nelson Andries is a Canadian-based visual artist whose work draws deeply from the quiet, restorative rhythms of the natural world. Rooted in a background in Fine Art and shaped by a decade-long career in floral design, Jeni’s paintings hold a rare sensitivity to color, texture, and the fleeting beauty found in seasonal change. Her abstract works capture the feeling of being immersed in a landscape or garden—moments where light shifts, petals flare, and stillness reveals its own kind of movement.

Guided by years spent designing florals in Seattle and inspired by her ongoing connection to the Pacific Northwest, Jeni’s practice moves in harmony with the growing season. From late spring through early autumn, she works close to the garden, gathering impressions from flowers, foliage, and the small, intricate details that often go unnoticed. When winter arrives and the garden rests, she returns to the studio, translating those vivid notes into layered paintings that evoke both memory and atmosphere.

Now living in Vancouver, BC with her family, Jeni continues to cultivate a practice that is thoughtful, observant, and deeply attuned to place. Each piece is an invitation—to slow down, to notice, and to experience the subtle energy held within the natural world.
