Back Rachel Duvall Textile Artist Los Angeles, California Rachel DuVall is a Los Angeles–based textile artist known for her hand-woven works that quietly honor precision, patience, and process. Rooted in the geometric grid of warp and weft, her compositions explore the tension between structure and softness—between the discipline of the loom and the organic imperfections that emerge through the hand. Through repetition of line and form, Rachel draws attention to subtle shifts: the slight variation in tension from one row to the next, the nuanced color changes in hand-dyed fibers. These quiet differences become central, inviting a slower, more attentive way of seeing. Rachel received her BFA in Fiber from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2008, and continues to explore weaving as both a material and meditative practice. Portfolio Ode to Osage Rachel Duvall
