Trisha Gilmore

Mixed Media Painter

Seattle, Washington

Trisha Gilmore is a Seattle-based artist who creates abstract works using acrylic paint, collage materials, ink, and graphite. Drawing from the landscapes that surround her, Trisha intuitively composes her paintings—sometimes building from observation, other times inventing new forms and spaces. Experimenting with texture, vintage papers, and vibrant colors, she creates layered compositions that speak to both the tangible and the imagined.

Art has been a joyful constant for Trisha since grade school, where a "How to Draw Comics" book sparked a lifelong love of creation. She holds degrees in education and art from George Fox University and the University of Washington. A passionate educator, Trisha has taught artists of all ages through institutions like Pratt Fine Arts Center, Powerful Schools, Seattle Public Schools, and The Community School. She served on the Tukwila Arts Commission for 17 years and continues to actively seek out art venues to explore and engage with.
