"Shadow.Bodies" is a 10-inch round archival ink drawing on wood panel by Leslie Stoner, its surface almost entirely filled with her signature hand-drawn maze line. Bold, rippling contours sweep horizontally across the circle like currents or ridgelines, and a single channel of bare wood cuts through the center, glowing pale against the dense pattern. At the upper left and lower right, two solid black forms, each ringed by echoing outlines like the rings of a topographic map, anchor the composition from opposite edges. Look closely and you'll find the words "SHADOW" and "BODIES" lettered beside them, marking where the maze begins and ends, a hallmark of Stoner's practice, in which the path between the two title words is left for the viewer to discover. Graphic, meditative, and full of quiet play, it makes a striking small-scale statement.

Seattle Art Source procures artists for our roster proactively, and we generally do not accept unsolicited submissions. However, we do review all inquiries monthly for potential future projects or open calls.
Due to the high volume of inquiries we receive, we are unable to respond individually to every submission. If there is a potential fit now, or in the future, we will reach out to that artist.
However, we love following artists on social, meeting artists at artwalk, hosting community events, and amplifying art content.
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase and are happy to help resolve any issues once your artwork is received.
Due to the one-of-a-kind nature of our artwork, pieces may be exchanged for Seattle Art Source credit within 3 days of purchase, provided the work is returned in the condition it was received.
Non-commissioned artwork purchased online is eligible for an exchange within 7 days of receipt. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the purchaser.
Please note: Commissioned artwork, sale items, and photography prints are final sale and not eligible for exchange.
