"Soft.Aspirations" is the airiest of Leslie Stoner's new watercolor works: five blossoms in blush, coral, and peach rise on tall, slender stems against a wide field of open white paper. Each flower is drawn in fine radiating ink lines and washed in soft watercolor, with darker, speckled centers touched by flecks of saffron and white. Around every bloom and stem, her hand-drawn maze line forms a delicate halo, outlining the forms like a shadow or an echo rather than filling the background. The stems climb from the lower right in gently stepped lines, giving the composition a sense of upward reach that matches its title. Look closely to find "SOFT" tucked beside the top-left bloom and "ASPIRATIONS" at the base of the stems, marking the start and end of the maze. Light, romantic, and full of air, it is an original 14 x 11 inch work on paper.

We also participate in the monthly Georgetown Art Attack on the second Saturday of each month. During business hours we offer viewings by appointment. Availability varies, so we recommend scheduling a time in advance.

Seattle Art Source procures artists for our roster proactively, and we generally do not accept unsolicited submissions. However, we do review all inquiries monthly for potential future projects or open calls.
Due to the high volume of inquiries we receive, we are unable to respond individually to every submission. If there is a potential fit now, or in the future, we will reach out to that artist.
However, we love following artists on social, meeting artists at artwalk, hosting community events, and amplifying art content.
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase and are happy to help resolve any issues once your artwork is received.
Due to the one-of-a-kind nature of our artwork, pieces may be exchanged for Seattle Art Source credit within 3 days of purchase, provided the work is returned in the condition it was received.
Non-commissioned artwork purchased online is eligible for an exchange within 7 days of receipt. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the purchaser.
