"Soft.Landing" is an original archival ink drawing on paper by Leslie Stoner in which billowing, cloud-like masses of hand-drawn maze line drift down the sheet from upper left to lower right, each edge ruffled and irregular like vapor catching the wind. Broad, open passages of warm grey paper wind between them, so the composition reads as both sky and coastline, a soft descent from the heights to the ground. The words "SOFT" and "LANDING," lettered at the upper left and lower right corners, mark the start and end of the maze, the path between left for the viewer to trace. Stoner's slow, meditative process shows in every looping line, and the result feels calm and gently weightless. Sized at 14 x 11 inches, it pairs naturally with "Flight.Pattern" as a set, or stands on its own as a quiet, contemplative piece.

Seattle Art Source procures artists for our roster proactively, and we generally do not accept unsolicited submissions. However, we do review all inquiries monthly for potential future projects or open calls.
Due to the high volume of inquiries we receive, we are unable to respond individually to every submission. If there is a potential fit now, or in the future, we will reach out to that artist.
However, we love following artists on social, meeting artists at artwalk, hosting community events, and amplifying art content.
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase and are happy to help resolve any issues once your artwork is received.
Due to the one-of-a-kind nature of our artwork, pieces may be exchanged for Seattle Art Source credit within 3 days of purchase, provided the work is returned in the condition it was received.
Non-commissioned artwork purchased online is eligible for an exchange within 7 days of receipt. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the purchaser.
