Camellia Bloom

Brooke Fitts

From: $410.00

PRODUCT DETAILS
  • Archival print on rag paper
“Camellia Bloom” is a rich, close-in photograph that immerses the viewer entirely in a canopy of flowering camellias — deep crimson, coral pink, and pale bud pressed together against a backdrop of dark, glossy leaves. Fitts moves in close enough that the frame holds no context beyond the blooms themselves, turning the image into something lush and painterly, the flowers ranging from tight bud to full open bloom with golden stamens at their centers. The dark foliage gives the reds and pinks a jewel-like intensity, the whole composition feeling simultaneously abundant and intimate. It is the kind of photograph that rewards slow looking — the more time spent in it, the more detail and variation emerges.
