News Event Form Over Function Opening 10/17/26 Posted on August 10, 2026October 1, 2026 by Harmony Hasbrook Held Together The body communicates what words cannot. Seattle Art Source Presents Form Over Function: Held Together, the Third Annual Exhibition — a Month-Long Group Exhibition on Identity, Connection, and Resilience. This year’s theme, Held Together, brings together figurative paintings that examine identity at a moment when many of the systems and communities we rely on feel increasingly unstable. Rather than presenting a single perspective, Held Together looks for common threads across ten distinct artistic voices, suggesting that identity is not fixed or solitary—it is continually formed through our connections with others and the communities we build. The show will feature works by Kelly Bjork Michael Doyle, Amy Erickson, Becca Fuhrman,Nahom Ghirmay, Barry Johnson, Kade Marsili, Amy Scherer, Zachary Schomburg, and Kimberly Trowbridge, co-curated by artist Seth Sexton. The programming for the six week run includes two artist panels hosted by Seth, a design industry happy hour, and the Georgetown Art Walk. This year, Seattle Art Source is partnering with Lifelong Health for All, the Washington-based nonprofit working to make health and food accessible to all. A portion of proceeds will go to the organization. Opening Night October 17th 2026 from 4 to 7pm 5531 Airport Way South Come see the work first and meet the artists in person! RSVP below. We’ll send you reminders and updates about the show, as well as related content from the artists like studio tours and interviews.
