Shadow.Blooms III

"Shadow.Blooms III" is the fullest and most animated piece in Leslie Stoner's new series: five black blooms in oil scatter across the composition, ranging from small and compact to large and generously scalloped, as if petals or leaves had drifted down onto the surface. Around them, Stoner's hand-drawn maze line in archival ink fills the ground in dense, flowing patterns, cut through by two broad, winding channels of bare cream paper that suggest rivers or pathways. The rhythm is lively but balanced, the dark forms stepping across the sheet like stones across a stream. Rooted in Stoner's slow, meditative drawing process, the work carries both quiet focus and a sense of movement. Framed in black with a charcoal mat and signed, it brings graphic punch and calm detail to a wall in equal measure.

Seattle Art Source procures artists for our roster proactively, and we generally do not accept unsolicited submissions. However, we do review all inquiries monthly for potential future projects or open calls.
Due to the high volume of inquiries we receive, we are unable to respond individually to every submission. If there is a potential fit now, or in the future, we will reach out to that artist.
However, we love following artists on social, meeting artists at artwalk, hosting community events, and amplifying art content.
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase and are happy to help resolve any issues once your artwork is received.
Due to the one-of-a-kind nature of our artwork, pieces may be exchanged for Seattle Art Source credit within 3 days of purchase, provided the work is returned in the condition it was received.
Non-commissioned artwork purchased online is eligible for an exchange within 7 days of receipt. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the purchaser.
Please note: Commissioned artwork, sale items, and photography prints are final sale and not eligible for exchange.
