Shadow.Blooms IV

In "Shadow.Blooms IV," Leslie Stoner's archival ink maze line covers nearly the entire sheet, its tightly looping paths swept into long, horizontal currents by a series of bold, curving contours that move across the paper like wind or water. Two black oil blooms, one large and one smaller, rest at the center, their softly mottled surfaces heavy and still against the busy patterning around them. Small openings of bare cream paper at the top and lower left act as clearings, giving the dense composition room to breathe. The effect is both energetic and grounding, the forms Stoner describes as hovering between leaf, wing, petal, and wave fully at play. Framed in black with a charcoal mat and signed by the artist, it is a bold, graphic study in pattern and pause.

Seattle Art Source procures artists for our roster proactively, and we generally do not accept unsolicited submissions. However, we do review all inquiries monthly for potential future projects or open calls.
Due to the high volume of inquiries we receive, we are unable to respond individually to every submission. If there is a potential fit now, or in the future, we will reach out to that artist.
However, we love following artists on social, meeting artists at artwalk, hosting community events, and amplifying art content.
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase and are happy to help resolve any issues once your artwork is received.
Due to the one-of-a-kind nature of our artwork, pieces may be exchanged for Seattle Art Source credit within 3 days of purchase, provided the work is returned in the condition it was received.
Non-commissioned artwork purchased online is eligible for an exchange within 7 days of receipt. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the purchaser.
Please note: Commissioned artwork, sale items, and photography prints are final sale and not eligible for exchange.
