"Shadow.Blooms V" closes Leslie Stoner's new series with a composition that seems to flow downhill: wide, winding channels of bare cream paper wander across the upper half like streams through a valley, while below, the hand-drawn archival ink maze line thickens into a dense, rippling field. Three black blooms in oil settle into the pattern, one perched at the edge of a channel and two larger forms resting near the bottom, their mottled surfaces catching the eye against the fine linework. The interplay of open space, intricate line, and solid black gives the drawing a calm, unhurried rhythm, the kind Stoner cultivates through her slow, meditative process. Offered unframed on deckled paper and signed, it pairs beautifully with "Shadow.Blooms II" or stands strongly on its own.

Seattle Art Source procures artists for our roster proactively, and we generally do not accept unsolicited submissions. However, we do review all inquiries monthly for potential future projects or open calls.

Due to the one-of-a-kind nature of our artwork, pieces may be exchanged for Seattle Art Source credit within 3 days of purchase, provided the work is returned in the condition it was received.
Non-commissioned artwork purchased online is eligible for an exchange within 7 days of receipt. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the purchaser.
