How does Seattle Art Source choose artists to represent?

Seattle Art Source procures artists for our roster proactively, and we generally do not accept unsolicited submissions. However, we do review all inquiries monthly for potential future projects or open calls. Due to the high volume of inquiries we receive, we are unable to respond individually to every submission. If there is a potential fit now, or in the future, we will reach out to that artist. However, we love following artists on social, meeting artists at artwalk, hosting community events, and amplifying art content.

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase and are happy to help resolve any issues once your artwork is received. Due to the one-of-a-kind nature of our artwork, pieces may be exchanged for Seattle Art Source credit within 3 days of purchase, provided the work is returned in the condition it was received. Non-commissioned artwork purchased online is eligible for an exchange within 7 days of receipt. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the purchaser. Please note: Commissioned artwork, sale items, and photography prints are final sale and not eligible for exchange.

“Tilted” by Christy Hopkins leans into her intuitive approach, allowing the composition to shift and evolve through layers of gesture and response. Built without a fixed plan, the painting develops a natural sense of movement—each mark subtly redirecting the next. The composition carries a sense of imbalance in the best way—forms feel slightly off-center, creating a dynamic tension that keeps the eye moving across the canvas. Layers of color and texture overlap and break apart, revealing traces of earlier decisions and lending the work a sense of depth and immediacy. The result is a piece that feels both energetic and grounded—bringing movement, warmth, and a quietly compelling presence to a space, especially at a larger scale.
